    ELKEM-ROCKWOOL® SLAB 150/200
    INTRODUCTION
ROCKWOOL SLAB 150/200 are high density slabs of non-combustible mineral wool specially made to provide good compression behaviour properties.

The most common applications for Rockwool slab 150/200 are industrial applications where good compression strength is required, floating floors on ships and offshore constuctions, prefabricated partitions, doors and special equipment.

    ADVANTAGES

  • Good thermal, acoustic- and fire insulation
  • Non-combustible
  • Strong and regid
  • Chemically inert
  • Vermin and rot proof
  • Resists high temperatures
  • Easy to handle and cut
  • Cost effective
  • Maintenance free

    Rockwool Slab 200: 200 kg/m3

    FACING
Rockwool Slabs can be supplied with a light weight glassfibre cloth or reinforced aluminium foil on one side.

    PACKING
    Shrink wrapped in pre-foil.

    THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY (Lamda-value)
    Lamda 10 = 0.036 w/mK

    COMPRESSION RESISTANCE(Typical data)
    Rockwool Slab 150:
    10% deformation at 40kPa Rockwool Slab 200:
    10% deformation at 75kPa

    SERVICE TEMPERATURES
Slab 150/200 can be used in continuous service at temperatures up to 250 oC.

The stone fibres in Rockwool mineral wool have a high natural resistance to fire and can withstand temperatures of more than 1000 oC without melting.

    FIRE
Rockwool Slab 150/200 are classified as non-combustible when tested according to ISO 1182 and IMO Res. A472(X11).

    WATER
Impregnated Rockwool mineral wool is water-repellant, and absorbs water only when the latter is pressed or forced into the product.

Rockwool mineral wool will absorb only approx. 1% of its volume in moisture when tested according to BS 2972:75.

The hygroscopic water content in Rockwool mineral wool is only approx. 0.004% per volume at RH 95%.

    Diffusion rating is approx. 0.14kg/m.s.GPa.

    CORROSION
Since Rockwool mineral wool is made of practically non-alcaline materials, it does not react chemically and consequently does not premote corrosion.

    ENVIRONMENT
No CFSs or HCFCs are used in the manufacturing of Rockwool products.

    QUALITY ASSURANCE
A/S Rockwool have a well established and operating quality control system, and the system has been certified to meet the requirements in NS-ISO 9001.

    A/S ROCKWOOL
reserves at all times the right to after the product specifications of the products without notice due to process improvements. The technical information is therefore to be used only as a guide.

    ROCKWOOL SPEC1
The ROCKWOOL® was proved on non-combustibility in accordance with test method proposed by IMCO in resoulation A270 in THE NORWEGIAN FIRE RESEARCH LABORATORY and STATENS TEKNISKE PROVEAN according to BS 476: Part4: 1970.
