Effect of Radiation
No significant effect on coating or protective capacity when Flamemastic 77 coated cables were subjected to 3x108 rad of gamma radiation at 5x105 rad per hr. for 600 hrs.
FLAMEMASTIC has been tested for use in the containment area of nuclear power stations and passed a simulated 30 years radiation exposure test(Franklin Institute, Report No. 5-C 3231).
