FLAMEMASTIC FIRE STOP SYSTEM (FS180)
Where air can pass through an opening in in a wall or ceiling, it also allows flames to be quickly sucked through, causing fireto spread rapidly. The FLAMEMASTIC FIRE STOP effectively seals openings in walls, floors and ceilings where cables and pipes pass through to adjacent rooms, floors or spaces.

RIGID & STRONG
FLAMEMASTIC FIRE STOPS are constructed using FLAMEMASTIC and high quality mineral fiber boards. They are regid and strong, yet economical to construct. No additional fixtures or braces are required to hold them in place.

EASY INSTALLATION
FLAMEMASTIC FIRE STOPS are easy to construct and install. Even large penetrations can be completed during a single visit to the work site.
Compression is used to force the mineral fiber board into the opening to be sealed. Once in place, the fiber board and penetrating cables or pipes are coated with FLAMEMASTIC.
COST EFFECTIVE
The FLAMEMASTIC FIRE STOP SYSTEM eliminates the need for higly skilled installers, providing unequaled fire protection at less cost.
FLEXIBLE
FLAMEMASTIC FIRE STOPS are repairable and allow for the addition or elimination of electrical cables or conduits without the complete replacement of the existing fire stop.

PERFORMANCE CERTIFIED
FLAMEMASTIC FIRE STOPS are UL® Classified having successfully met the stringent Underwriters Laboratory Inc. Classification Testing Procedures for fill, void, or cavity materials, UL® Test No.1479, for a continuous 3 hour fire rating. Flame spread measured by ASTM E-84 is 10.

THE FLAMEMASTIC FIRE STOP
The FLAMEMASTIC 3 Hour fire stop consists of two 2"(50mm) mineral wool panels, each coated on the edges and outside surfaces with FLAMEMASTIC. The panels, cut slightly oversized, are pressed into the opening so that the outside surfaces are even with the surfaces of the wall or floor. An air space remains between the panels. Holes or sections are cut out of the panels to allow the cables or other objects to pass through. Loose pieces of mineral wool are pressed in to the holes to seal them. FLAMEMASTIC is then painted, sprayed or troweled over the holes and edges, completely sealing the transit. Exposed cables or objects should also be coated with FLAMEMASTIC to a distance of one meter from the transit.
